Trix - They aren't just for kids anymore

It has been awhile since I posted on cereal, but until now I haven't had a reason to. However this week I decided to try Trix for the first time in years. You see, I used to love Trix as a kid. Fruit loops in a ball. They were great! Then they changed though, and not for the better. In 1992 Trix became fruit shapes, fun exciting shapes. The problem was with the change from balls to shapes the flavor also changed - for the worse. The "new" style of Trix were terrible. I'm sure they appealed to kids more because it was something fun - like they were eating fruit (of course we might be healthier as a society if kids actually did eat fruit - and runts don't count). I tried a couple times over the years thinking maybe it was my imagination that the flavor changed, but every time I was more disappointed. Sometime in the last few years they must have changed back to the little round balls, but because I disliked the cereal so much I did not notice. This week I did - and I noticed the flavor changed again too. Wow was I surprised. Trix are great again. Sure they might not have the same appeal as they did with little shapes of fruit, but they taste good again, and that is what should matter most.
