Gopher Football Hire and the Big Ten

Look this wekeend for a breakdown of the Gopher Football hiring process and my opinion on the lame names for the Big Ten divisions in football.

Favre Calling it Quits?

Remember back in August when many folks in the media "broke" the news that Favre was not coming back? Who told you he was, even when ever person in the know had said it was over? ESPNTWINCITIES.com did. Sure we don't specifically focus on sports, we also know more about cereal than we should and try to inform you of the best in Thai in town, but sometime we just happen to get the scoop from real sources. We don't jump on ever rumor out there unless we believe what we here to be true.

So, I'm sorry to inform all of you Favre fans out there but Brett Favre has played his last football game in the NFL. That is right, Brett Favre is calling it quits. I know that as of now there is speculation he might be back, after all the Vikings are not putting him on the IR for now, but I have been told that the circumstances in front of Favre and the Vikings is enough to end one of football's greatest players' career. First of all, Favre is hurt, and hurt bad. If you saw that hit you know. Remember when Kurt Warner got hit from behind against New Orleans last year? You knew he was done the second that hit happened. Favre's wasn't quite as telling, but after hearing what the MRI showed, seeing the hit again and then seeing Favre unable to start it looked like it could be over. Throw in that the Vikings will be hosting the Bears on Monday night at TCF Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Gophers, in an outdoor game and throw in the whole situation with and Sterger and this has become too much for the old gunslinger to overcome.

My source with the Vikings has told me that Favre is done. It is just a matter of how the Vikings.....wait, this if Favre we are talking about. It's just a matter of how Favre wants to handle the exit.
